Softball Recap: Orange Beach Extends Winning Streak to Four

Orange Beach won the last time they faced Brookwood and things went their way on Saturday too. The Makos walked away with an 8-3 win over the Panthers. Winning may never get old, but the Makos sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

The team relied heavily on Katie King, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. She is also on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Ava Hodo, who went 1-for-4 with one home run and four RBI.

They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: Orange Beach lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now launched at least two home runs in four consecutive games.

Orange Beach's record now sits at 32-2. As for Brookwood, their defeat dropped their record down to 31-13.

Coming up, Orange Beach is taking a road trip to challenge Fairhope at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Brookwood, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Bibb County at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
