Football Recap: Donoho Takes a Loss

Donoho extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to nine on Friday, dropping them down to 0-8. They lost 28-7 to the Victory Christian Lions. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Luke Farrell threw for 160 yards on 13 of 23 attempts. Noah McLendon was his top target, picking up 129 receiving yards. On the ground, Cooper Christopher rushed for 28 yards.

As for Victory Christian, their win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 3-4. The matchup marked their most dominant victory of the season.

Chase Pond continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 147 yards and three TDs. The team also got some help courtesy of Dewayne Talley, who gained 98 total yards.

Looking ahead, Donoho will host Woodland at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Falcons will be up against the Bobcats' rather soft defense (which has allowed 39.63 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Victory Christian, they will head out on the road to square off against Belgreen at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
