Jefferson Area waltzed into their matchup on Monday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Hubbard Eagles. That's more bragging rights for the Falcons, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-23, 17-25, 25-17.

Hubbard's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sarah Brand, who had 20 digs. Another player making a difference was Emma TEtrick, who had 16 digs.

Jefferson Area's win bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Hubbard, their record now sits at 6-5.

Jefferson Area didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Conneaut on the 16th. As for Hubbard, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Struthers on the 16th.
