Rancho Alamitos and La Quinta are an even 5-5 against one another since October of 2019, but not for long. The Vaqueros will head out to square off against the Aztecs at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Rancho Alamitos took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. Everything went their way against Santiago as they made off with a 3-0 victory. The Vaqueros haven't had any issues with the Cavaliers recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

While Rancho Alamitos won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The final score came out to 25-16, 25-18, 25-22.

Meanwhile, La Quinta posted their closest victory since October 15, 2024 on Thursday. They won by a set and slipped past Bolsa Grande 3-2.

La Quinta wouldn't go down easily and took Bolsa Grande into a fifth set where they got it done with a five-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-20, 16-25, 23-25, 15-10.

Rancho Alamitos' win bumped their record up to 16-7. As for La Quinta, they now have a winning record of 10-9.

Rancho Alamitos came out on top in a nail-biter against La Quinta in their previous matchup back in September, sneaking past 3-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Vaqueros since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
