Basketball Game Preview: Three Rivers Bulldogs vs. John Paul II Centurions

The Three Rivers Bulldogs will take on the John Paul II Centurions in a holiday battle at at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

On Tuesday, Three Rivers might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting Port Aransas an easy 51-31 victory. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1488th, while the Marlins are ranked 689th).

Meanwhile, John Paul II was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat. They were dealt a 59-27 loss at the hands of Incarnate Word Academy.

Three Rivers has traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record this season. As for John Paul II, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-14.
