Football Game Preview: Harding Academy Lions vs. St. Benedict at Auburndale Eagles + How To Watch

The Harding Academy Lions will venture away from home to challenge the St. Benedict at Auburndale Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. St. Benedict at Auburndale took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Harding Academy, who comes in off a win.

Harding Academy's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Fayette Academy 35-0. The Lions not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since August 22nd (when they won 48-0).

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Harding Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jarren Jackson, who rushed for 62 yards and one TD. Jackson showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 58 yards. Theo Fadeyi also helped with two touchdowns in total.

Meanwhile, St. Benedict at Auburndale was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were beaten by Evangelical Christian 38-6.

Harding Academy's victory bumped their record up to 4-5. As for St. Benedict at Auburndale, their loss dropped their record down to 3-6.

Harding Academy took a serious blow against St. Benedict at Auburndale in their previous matchup back in October of 2019, falling 41-14. Can the Lions avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
