Football Game Preview: Iota Bulldogs vs. Westlake Rams + Official Tickets

The Iota Bulldogs will venture away from home to take on the Westlake Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Friday, Iota was able to grind out a solid victory over Crowley, taking the game 21-8. The Bulldogs haven't had any issues with the Gent recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, Westlake hadn't done well against St. Louis Catholic recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Rams came out on top against the Saints by a score of 21-13.

Westlake's win came from a few key players Iota will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Braylon Garrick, who rushed for 137 yards and two TDs. He has become a key player for Westlake: the team is undefeated when he posts at least 80 rushing yards, but 1-2 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Brody Anderson, who threw for 169 yards and one touchdown.

Iota's record now sits at 2-4. As for Westlake, their record is now 4-2.

Iota won a matchup that couldn't have been any closer in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, slipping by Westlake 28-27. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bulldogs since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
