Football Game Preview: James Clemens Jets vs. Fairhope Pirates + Official Tickets

The James Clemens Jets will square off against the Fairhope Pirates at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

James Clemens is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Homewood just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Thursday. They took a 38-28 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Patriots. Despite 160 more yards than the Patriots, the Jets couldn't convert that extra yardage to scores.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Alex Lively, who rushed for 133 yards and one score on only six carries. Another back making a difference was Mj Gideon, who rushed for 118 yards and one touchdown on only 15 carries.

Meanwhile, Fairhope faced Baker in a battle between two of the state's top teams last Friday. The Pirates lost 35-10 to the Hornets. Having soared to a lofty 38 points in the game before, the Pirates couldn't push the score so high this time.

James Clemens will have to contain Andres Hunt as he made an impact in Fairhope's last game. He picked up 105 receiving yards and one TD.

Fairhope's loss dropped their record down to 7-3. As for James Clemens, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-4.
