Recap: Williamstown Blue Devils vs. Lamoille Lancers
The Williamstown Blue Devils had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They escaped with a win on Wednesday against Lamoille by the margin of a single free throw, 46-45. This was payback for Williamstown, who suffered a 56-49 loss the last time these two teams met.
Among those leading the charge was Evan Bailey, who scored 27 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Colby Laggner, who scored eight points along with 12 rebounds.
Williamstown's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Lamoille, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-1.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Hazen the next time they take the court. Lamoille will head out to face Hazen at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, while Williamstown will head out to face them at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
