Baseball Recap: Wartburg Central Wins Going Away Against Midway

Wartburg Central barely beat Midway the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Bulldogs were the clear victors by an 11-4 margin over the Green Wave on Tuesday. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matches by seven runs or more this season.

The win made it two in a row for Wartburg Central and bumps their season record up to 11-7. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Midway, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-13-1 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wartburg Central will head out to square off against York Institute at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Midway, they will venture away from home to challenge William Blount at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.
