Gavin Kay Game Report: vs Phoebus

On Tuesday, Hampton got the W thanks in part to Gavin Kay playing the best basketball he has all season. Kay went 14 for 16 on his way to 32 points, good enough to set a new career-high in points in the process. He is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games.

Kay and Hampton will face off against Heritage at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Crabbers got just the result they wanted when they last faced the Hurricanes, probably because Kay had a solid game then too: he went 8 of 16 en route to 18 points and six rebounds.
