Softball Recap: Allen Park Jaguars vs. Woodhaven Warriors
In what's become a running theme this season, Allen Park gave their fans yet another huge win on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Woodhaven Warriors as the Allen Park Jaguars made off with a 10-2 victory. Winning may never get old, but Allen Park sure is getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
Melody Filipiak spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on six hits and racked up six Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive pitching appearances.
At the plate, Mak Sitarski was a standout: she scored three runs and stole a base while going 4-for-4. Bailey McCalister was another key contributor, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4.
