Volleyball Game Preview: Timber Creek Wolves vs. Lake Howell Silverhawks

Timber Creek is on a seven-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), while Lake Howell is on a ten-game streak of away wins (also dating back to last season): one of those streaks is about to end. The Wolves will welcome the Silverhawks at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Last Thursday, Timber Creek got the win against Celebration by a conclusive 3-0.

Timber Creek never let Celebration on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 26-24, 25-16.

Timber Creek can attribute much of their success to Diego Galan Reyes, who had 12 digs and two assists, and Chase Jordan, who had 14 assists. Jordan is on a roll when it comes to assists, as he's now posted 12 or more in each of the last three games he's played.

Meanwhile, Lake Howell made easy work of Winter Springs on Tuesday and carried off a 3-0 win. The Silverhawks haven't had any issues with the Bears recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Lake Howell took every set by at least ten points. The final score came out to 25-8, 25-12, 25-15.

Timber Creek's win bumped their record up to 19-0. As for Lake Howell, their victory bumped their record up to 17-1.
