Basketball Recap: Clearwater Takes a Loss

Clearwater was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 67-39 loss at the hands of the Booneville Blue Devils. While losing is never fun, the Tornadoes can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 282nd in Florida, while the Blue Devils are ranked seventh in Mississippi).

Clearwater's defeat dropped their record down to 11-9. As for Booneville, they pushed their record up to 18-4 with the victory, which was their 27th straight at home dating back to last season.

Clearwater didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 60-53 loss against New Albany on the 25th. Booneville has also already played their next game (against Okolona), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
