Basketball Recap: Richland Piles Up the Points Against Culleoka

You're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that's exactly how it played out for Richland on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that they blew the Culleoka Warriors out of the water with a 66-19 final score. The Raiders have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 14 matchups by 22 points or more this season.

Richland's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Bailey Blair led the charge by going 6-for-8 en route to 15 points. What's more, Blair also posted a 75% shooting accuracy, which is the highest she's achieved since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Mary Avery Mcneese, who posted 12 points and seven rebounds.

Richland smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in six consecutive games.

Richland is on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 27.2 points over those games. Culleoka is on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-17.
