Volleyball Recap: Gaston Day Snags 11th Victory in Last 13 Games

Gaston Day posted their closest win since September 9th on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the Southside Christian Sabres. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Spartans also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

Gaston Day can attribute much of their success to Ava Blanton, who had 15 digs and two assists.

Gaston Day has been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 13 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-3 record this season. As for Southside Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-14-1.

Gaston Day wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Woodmont on the 11th. As for Southside Christian, they have also already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Westside on the 11th.
