Football Game Preview: Reno Huskies vs. Wooster Colts

Reno is a perfect 3-0 against Wooster since September of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Huskies will head out on the road to square off against the Colts at 7:00 p.m. Reno is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.

Reno is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Nevada's top teams: McQueen, who was ranked 16th at the time (Reno was ranked 12th). The Huskies were just a hair shy of victory on Friday and fell 37-36 to the Lancers. On the bright side, the 36- point effort marked the Huskies' highest-scoring game to date.

Reno might have lost, but man, Braylon Wilson was a machine: he rushed for 98 yards and a pair of touchdowns, and also threw for 158 yards and two TDs. Another player making a difference was Jackson Mathews, who rushed for 114 yards and one score.

Meanwhile, the third road matchup was the charm for Wooster, as they earned their first away win of the season. They snuck past Hug with a 22-18 victory on Friday. The Colts haven't had any issues with the Hawks recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Wooster's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-5. As for Reno, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3.

Everything came up roses for Reno against Wooster in their previous matchup back in September of 2023, as the squad secured a 43-0 win. Do the Huskies have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Colts turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
