Volleyball Recap: Desert Ridge Comes Up Short

Desert Ridge saw some tournament action on Friday. They fell just short of the Verrado Vipers by a score of 2-1.

Jaquintin Jordan paced Desert Ridge's offense, picking up ten kills. Jordan got some help from Dallas Wootan and his 14 assists. Wootan also made an impact serving: he shared the team lead in aces with Zach Johnson, racking up two apiece.

Desert Ridge's defeat dropped their record down to 1-2. As for Verrado, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-3.

Desert Ridge has already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Basha on the 14th. As for Verrado, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against Sunrise Mountain on the 14th.
