Recap: Wilkes Central Eagles vs. Forbush Falcons

While losing is never fun, Wilkes Central can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 400th, while Forbush is ranked 90th).
When it comes to explaining why Wilkes Central lost, one person who can't be blamed is Chloe Lyon. Despite the final result, she scored eight points along with two steals and two blocks. Lyon has been hot recently, having posted two or more blocks the last three times she's played.
Wilkes Central has been struggling recently, as they've lost ten of their last 12 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season. As for Forbush, their win was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-4.
Wilkes Central will take on North Surry at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. That game will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Sadie Badgett and Anna Rollins. As for Forbush, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Starmount at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
