Softball Recap: Trimble County Comes Up Short

Trimble County lost to Owen County on Wednesday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Raiders came up short against the Rebels, falling 15-3. The Raiders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Ainslie Stark made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI.

Trimble County's loss dropped their record down to 11-16. As for Owen County, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 15-11.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Trimble County will host Fern Creek at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.12 runs per game on average), something the Raiders will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Owen County, they will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Conner at 12:00 p.m.
