A well-balanced attack led Lewis Cass over Tri-Central in every quarter on their way to victory on Saturday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Kings blew the Trojans out of the water with a 57-24 final score. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 33-11.

Aftin Griffin had a dynamite game, shooting 86% from the field on her way to 18 points and three steals. Those 86% shooting accuracy gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Paula Pons, who posted eight points and three steals.

The victory was the third in a row for Lewis Cass, bringing their record up to 3-0. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 26.3 points on average this season. As for Tri-Central, their defeat was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lewis Cass will welcome Kokomo at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Tri-Central, they will challenge Taylor at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The contest will give the Trojans their first taste of in-conference action this season.
