Recap: Johnson County Trojans vs. Georgia Military College Bulldogs
The Johnson County Trojans entered their tilt with the Georgia Military College Bulldogs with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Johnson County walked away with a 53-43 win over Georgia Military College on Monday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Johnson County also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2023.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Johnson County to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ziyah Lewis, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds and five steals. That's the first time this season that Lewis scored 15 or more points. Keondria Jenkins was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with seven rebounds and four steals.
Johnson County's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-4. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.0 points per game. As for Georgia Military College, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-15.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Johnson County will take on Glascock County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Georgia (Glascock County is ranked 335th, while Johnson County is ranked 333rd). As for Georgia Military College, they the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Wilkinson County at 6:00 p.m. on January 23rd.
