Softball Recap: Eastern Hills Comes Up Short

Eastern Hills and Southwest faced off in a cross-town battle on Tuesday. The Highlanders lost 19-4 to the Raiders. The Highlanders have struggled against the Raiders recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Eastern Hills' defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Southwest, their victory was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-5-1.

Eastern Hills will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Benbrook at 6:00 p.m. on March 10. As for Southwest, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Trimble Tech at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Raiders' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bulldogs have averaged an impressive 13.1 runs per game this season.
