Baseball Recap: West Creek Takes a Loss

Wednesday just wasn't the day for West Creek's offense. They came up short against the Dickson County Cougars on Wednesday, falling 10-0. The Coyote's loss continues a trend for the squad, making it six in a row.

West Creek saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Donte Castro, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases.

West Creek's defeat dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Dickson County, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-12.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Creek will venture away from home to square off against Rossview at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Hawks' pitching crew has only allowed 2.3 runs per game this season, so the Coyote's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Dickson County, they will face off against Clarksville Academy at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday. Dickson County's pitchers better be ready for this one: Clarksville Academy has averaged an impressive 6.9 runs per game this season.
