Basketball Recap: Windsor Forest Falls to Bradwell Institute in First Game of Season

Windsor Forest had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They were dealt a 62-20 defeat at the hands of the Bradwell Institute Tigers on Friday. The Knights were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 31-9.

When it comes to explaining why Windsor Forest lost, don't look at Grace Ellington. Despite the final result, she posted nine points.

Bradwell Institute's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jamia Ousley led the charge by putting up 12 points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals. That's the most points Ousley has posted since back in December of 2024. Ja'Nya Bush was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with 14 points and nine boards.

Windsor Forest has already played their next matchup (against New Hampstead), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Bradwell Institute, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 59-16 victory against St. Andrew's on the 21st.
