Jennings County and Brownstown Central are an even 4-4 against one another since May of 2016, but likely not for long. The Panthers are taking a road trip to take on the Braves at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

On Monday, Jennings County didn't have quite enough to beat Bedford North Lawrence and fell 4-3.

Jennings County saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ethan Speer, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double. That double was Speer's first of the season.

Meanwhile, Monday just wasn't the day for Brownstown Central's offense. They fell 5-0 to Silver Creek on Monday. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Braves' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Brownstown Central's defeat dropped their record down to 14-9. As for Jennings County, their loss dropped their record down to 9-12.

Jennings County beat Brownstown Central 5-1 when the teams last played back in May of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
