Basketball Recap: Northridge Knights vs. Vernon Hills Cougars
Northridge came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 66-40 to the Vernon Hills Cougars. The Knights were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cougars apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in November of 2024.
Northridge now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Vernon Hills, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.
Coming up, Northridge won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Oak Park-River Forest at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Vernon Hills, they and Thornton Fractional South will face off at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest, having both just played.
