Basketball Recap: San Juan Comes Up Short

San Juan was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They were outmatched by the Mesa Verde Mavericks and fell 53-24. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Spartans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 40-36 on January 3rd.

San Juan's loss dropped their record down to 2-20. As for Mesa Verde, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 6-15 record this season.

San Juan will challenge Rio Vista at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Mesa Verde, they will face off against Highlands at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
