Softball Recap: Union County Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Union County and Sonoraville squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Union County had to settle for second. They wound up with the same score they had in their last game (2-0), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time. The loss continues a trend for them in their meetings with the Phoenix: they've now lost three in a row.

Union County's defeat dropped their record down to 19-11. As for Sonoraville, they are on a roll lately: they've won 22 of their last 23 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 28-5 record this season.

While Union County had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
