Soccer Recap: Point Arena Comes Up Short

Point Arena and Anderson Valley squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Point Arena had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 1-0. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against Anderson Valley this season, with their most recent defeat being a 5-3 loss two weeks ago.

Point Arena has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-12-2 record this season. As for Anderson Valley, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 8-14-1.

Point Arena does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Anderson Valley, they will face off against Roseland Collegiate Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
