McIntosh County Academy skates past Savannah Classical Academy with ease

The McIntosh County Academy Buccaneers stacked a fifth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They really took it to Savannah Classical Academy for the full four quarters, racking up a 68-33 victory at home. With McIntosh County Academy ahead 34-14 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead McIntosh County Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Mj Quarterman, who dropped a double-double on 28 points and 13 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Quarterman has scored all season. Brandon Johnson was another key contributor, scoring 20 points along with four steals.

McIntosh County Academy has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. As for Savannah Classical Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-13.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. McIntosh County Academy won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Wayne County at 7:30 p.m. on January 20th. Wayne County is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses. As for Savannah Classical Academy, Savannah Classical Academy and Jenkins County will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 23rd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. One thing working in Jenkins County's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three matchups.
