Recap: East Rowan Mustangs vs. Concord Spiders
The East Rowan Mustangs suffered their biggest loss since December 1, 2023 on Tuesday. They were beaten by Concord 99-54. East Rowan was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 53-32.
Despite the loss, East Rowan still got an impressive performance from Drake Jones, who scored 18 points. Jonathan Wembolua was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Concord's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jeremiah Howard, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 15 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Judah Freeman, who scored 22 points along with four steals.
East Rowan are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-12. As for Concord, they pushed their record up to 9-6 with that victory, which was their seventh straight at home.
East Rowan will head out on the road to take on Central Cabarrus at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Concord, they will be playing at home against Carson at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
