Basketball Game Preview: Phillipsburg Stateliners vs. North Hunterdon Lions

Phillipsburg and North Hunterdon are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2018, but not for long. The Phillipsburg Stateliners will venture away from home to square off against the North Hunterdon Lions at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Thursday, Phillipsburg took a blow against Gill St. Bernard's, falling 69-17.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when North Hunterdon took on Bridgewater-Raritan on Thursday. North Hunterdon fell just short of Bridgewater-Raritan by a score of 29-27. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

North Hunterdon now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Phillipsburg, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 0-2.

Phillipsburg came up short against North Hunterdon when the teams last played back in February, falling 49-43. Can Phillipsburg avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
