Volleyball Game Preview: Burroughs Burros vs. Oak Park Eagles

The Burroughs Burros will venture away from home to face off against the Oak Park Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Burroughs comes in on five and Oak Park on 14.

Burroughs is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Northview as they made off with a 3-0 win.

Burroughs was especially dominant in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-14, 25-18.

Lillah O'Grady was the offensive standout of the contest as she had 11 digs and two aces. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last three games she's played.

O'Grady wasn't the only good servers: Burroughs was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 11 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in 13 consecutive matches.

Meanwhile, Oak Park was able to grind out a solid victory over Sultana on Tuesday, taking the game 3-1.

Burroughs' record is now 26-7. As for Oak Park, their record now sits at 24-7.
