Football Game Preview: American Canyon Wolves vs. Redwood Giants + How To Watch

The American Canyon Wolves will head out to take on the Redwood Giants at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. American Canyon will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.

On Saturday, American Canyon was fully in charge, breezing past Casa Grande 48-7. The Wolves might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five contests by 21 points or more this season.

American Canyon's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Andre Lopez, who rushed for 104 yards and three TDs on only ten carries. That's the most rushing touchdowns Lopez has posted since back in August. The team also got some help courtesy of Isaac Anderson, who rushed for 111 yards and one touchdown on only six carries.

American Canyon didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Casa Grande to a completion percentage of just 38.9%. The team can thank Chamari Urrutia for the heroic effort on defense: he. American Canyon hasn't an opponent to post a completion percentage of 0.17 or higher in three consecutive matchups.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Redwood). They breezed past Justin-Siena to the tune of 45-0 two weeks ago. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Giants with their most commanding win of the season.

Redwood now has a winning record of 5-4. As for American Canyon, their win bumped their record up to 8-1.

American Canyon was able to grind out a solid victory over Redwood when the teams last played back in November of 2024, winning 35-28. Will the Wolves repeat their success, or do the Giants have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
