Soccer Recap: Cypress Springs Comes Up Short

Cypress Springs was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost 9-0 to the Cypress Woods Wildcats. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 591st, while the Wildcats are ranked 127th).

Cypress Springs' loss dropped their record down to 0-7-1. As for Cypress Woods, they pushed their record up to 7-5 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cypress Springs will square off against Waller at 7:15 p.m. on February 5th. As for Cypress Woods, they will face off against Cypress Ranch at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Cypress Ranch will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Cypress Woods surely won't give up without a fight.
