McAllen Memorial waltzed into their game on Friday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They put the hurt on the Rio Grande City Rattlers with a sharp 47-27 victory. The Mustangs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matchups by 20 points or more this season.

McAllen Memorial got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Ava Thomas out in front who posted 15 points along with six rebounds and five assists. Thomas has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last eight times she's played. Eva Villarreal was another key player, putting up seven points in addition to 16 boards and three blocks.

McAllen Memorial smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 14 offensive boards in three consecutive contests.
