Football Recap: Quantico Comes Up Short in High-Profile Game with Fishburne Military

Quantico faced Fishburne Military in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Warriors came up short against the Caissons, falling 44-20. The Warriors have struggled against the Caissons recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Quantico's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Henry Davis, who threw for 276 yards and three TDs.

Luke Moravek was the offensive standout of the game as he rushed for 69 yards and one touchdown. He showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 52 yards.

Quantico's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Fishburne Military, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Fishburne Military beat Quantico by a score of 48-28 on the 8th.
