Baseball Recap: Irwin County Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Irwin County and Screven County squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Irwin County had to settle for second. They fell 13-10 to the Gamecocks. The Indians were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Gamecocks earlier this season, when they won 8-6.

Irwin County's loss dropped their record down to 16-13. As for Screven County, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-11 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Irwin County beat Screven County by a score of 8-6 later that day.
