Baseball Game Preview: Chewelah Cougars vs. Lakeside Eagles

Chewelah is on a seven-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), while Lakeside is on a four-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Cougars will welcome the Eagles at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Chewelah's pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so Lakeside's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Chewelah's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Reardan with a sharp 13-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Cougars, who have now won nine games by six runs or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Lakeside hadn't done well against Freeman recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Eagles walked away with a 7-3 win over the Scotties.

Lakeside's victory bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Chewelah, their win bumped their record up to 9-2.
