Basketball Recap: Lamar Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Lamar entered their tilt with Mansfield on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Mansfield Tigers by a score of 65-56. Given the Warriors' advantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 23rd, while the Tigers are ranked 103rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Lamar's win bumped their record up to 11-1. As for Mansfield, with the defeat, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 5-4.

Lamar and Har-Ber will round out the year against one another at at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Har-Ber is on a seven-game streak of home wins, Lamar a nine-game streak of away wins (dating back to last season)-- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court. As for Mansfield, they will challenge Cossatot River at 6:00 p.m. on December 27th.
