Softball Recap: Loveland Comes Up Short

Loveland managed to slip by Greeley West the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Red Wolves lost 12-2 to the Spartans on Thursday. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Red Wolves couldn't push the score so high this time.

Loveland has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-13 record this season. As for Greeley West, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Loveland will challenge Mountain Range at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Red Wolves' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Mustangs have averaged an impressive 7.1 runs per game this season. As for Greeley West, they will take on Greeley Central at 4:15 p.m. on Monday.
