Basketball Game Preview: Paragould Rams vs. Batesville Pioneers

The Paragould Rams will venture away from home to challenge the Batesville Pioneers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Paragould comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

Last Friday, Paragould was beaten by Greene County Tech 62-30. While losing is never fun, the Rams can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 185th, while the Golden Eagles are ranked fifth).

Meanwhile, Batesville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 50-25 to West Memphis.

Batesville's loss dropped their record down to 8-12. As for Paragould, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-16.

Paragould was taken down by Batesville 68-39 in their previous meeting back in January. Can Paragould avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
