North Eugene had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They simply couldn't be stopped on Wednesday as they easily beat the Willamette Wolverines 71-42. The Highlanders not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since January 28th (when they won 97-44).

North Eugene's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jordan Gray, who almost dropped a double-double with 19 points and nine rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Damon Keith, who went 5-for-9 on his way to 11 points along with five assists and five boards.

North Eugene has already played their next game, a 79-55 win against McMinnville on the 5th. As for Willamette, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 60-26 victory against Dallas on the 6th.
