Baseball Recap: Redlands East Valley Takes a Loss

Saturday just wasn't the day for Redlands East Valley's offense. They fell just short of the Rancho Cucamonga Cougars by a score of 1-0 on Saturday. The Wildcats were not able to make up for their defeat to the Cougars from their previous meeting back in March of 2022.

Caleb Jamroz was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-low in earned runs (zero).

On the hitting side, Redlands East Valley saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ty Whittle, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Redlands East Valley's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Rancho Cucamonga, their record is now 4-2.

Looking ahead, Redlands East Valley will venture away from home to challenge Silverado at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Rancho Cucamonga, they will welcome Glendora at 3:15 p.m. on Monday. Glendora is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.2 runs per game this season.
