Basketball Recap: Hazlehurst Takes a Loss

Hazlehurst managed to keep up with Florence until halftime on Monday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Indians were beaten by the Eagles 78-47. The defeat continues a trend for the Indians in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost four in a row.

Hazlehurst lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Jakavion Johnson, who posted 13 points. Kavarrious Crawford was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Having lost for the first time this season, Hazlehurst fell to 2-1.

Hazlehurst didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 62-25 win against Enterprise on the 11th. As for Florence, they will look to defend their home court on the 18th against Jackson Prep at 7:45 p.m.
