Basketball Recap: Lowellville Takes a Loss

Lowellville came up into this matchup off a tough 33-point defeat last Friday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Western Reserve Blue Devils by a score of 71-68 on Tuesday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Friday (67), the Rockets still had to take the loss.

Lowellville is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-13. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.8 points per game. As for Western Reserve, their victory bumped their record up to 10-7.

Lowellville is taking a road trip to take on Columbiana at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Western Reserve, they will host McKinley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
