Football Recap: Largo Falls Despite Big Games from Akeem Jervis and Tymond Foxx + How To Watch

After flying high against Crossland last Saturday, Largo came back down to earth. The Lions fell 33-28 to the Gwynn Park Yellowjackets on Friday. The defeat continues a trend for the Lions in their meetings with the Yellowjackets: they've now lost nine in a row.

Largo's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Tymond Foxx, who rushed for 118 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 15 carries, and Akeem Jervis, who rushed for 67 yards and one TD on only five carries. Foxx really tore up the turf during one magnificent 74-yard run.

William Butler continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Gwynn Park, throwing for 261 yards and a pair of TDs, while also punching in three scores on the ground. 135 of Butler's passing yards were hauled in by Riley Holloman, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

Largo's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Gwynn Park, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Largo will head out to take on Fairmont Heights at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Gwynn Park, they will venture away from home to square off against Surrattsville at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
