Volleyball Recap: Baxter Springs Extends Winning Streak to Three

Baxter Springs hadn't done well against St. Mary's-Colgan recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Lions walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Panthers. The win was familiar territory for the Lions, who have now won three matches in a row.

Baxter Springs never let St. Mary's-Colgan on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. The final score came out to 28-26, 25-20.

Sadie Miller paced Baxter Springs' offense, picking up eight kills. Miller got some help from Sam Sheffer and her 22 assists.

Baxter Springs' victory bumped their record up to 19-8. As for St. Mary's-Colgan, their defeat ended a four-match streak of away wins and brought them to 13-11.

Coming up, Baxter Springs will take on Chetopa on Monday. As for St. Mary's-Colgan, they will take on Webb City in a tournament on Saturday.
