Bassett is 9-1 against George Washington since May of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Bengals will be playing in front of their home fans against the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. Bassett's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Bassett fell victim to Halifax County and their airtight defense last Thursday. They came up short against the Comets, falling 4-0. That's two games in a row now that Bassett have lost by exactly four goals.

Meanwhile, it may have taken extra minutes to finish the job, but George Washington ultimately got the result they hoped for on Wednesday. They walked away with a 4-2 win over Halifax County.

The victory got George Washington back to even at 4-4-2. As for Bassett, they now have a losing record of 4-5.

Bassett beat George Washington by a goal in their previous meeting on April 3rd, winning 4-3. Will the Bengals repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
